Dr. Mashal Saif and Dr. Amen Jaffer, Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), recently published a co-edited volume titledState and Subject Formation in South Asia.

Dr. Iqbal Akhtar moderated the 2022 FIU Mahavir Jayanti Lecture & Award Ceremony. The Mahavir Jayanti lecture "highlighed contemporary research being done in Pakistan to explore the country's Jain heritage leading scholars." Dr. John Mock contributed two chapters to the newly published book "Languages of Northern Pakistan: Essays in Memory of Carla Radloff", J. Baart, H. Liljeren, T. Payne, eds. (Karachi OUP, 2022) Dr. Mock's chapters include "Orality, Literacy, and Scholarship: Shifts in Gender, Genre, and Performance of Wakhi Oral Expression" and "Recent Developments in Wakhi Orthography".
