AIPS can provide funding for conference travel for the presentation of papers or organization of panels that include topics relevant to Pakistan studies at scholarly conferences.
AIPS can provide up to $600 for travel to conferences within the United States, and up to $1500 for international travel, depending on available funds. Due to federal travel restrictions, we cannot provide funding for travel to Pakistan. Due to limited funds AIPS travel grants are capped to one per person per year with preference given to individuals who have not received a travel grant in the previous two years.
Applications are open to all students and faculty from institutions of higher education in the U.S. or individuals who are AIPS Members. Preference will be given to scholars who are Individual AIPS Members or are affiliated with an Institutional Member of AIPS (visit the membership page for more information). Applications are accepted at any time and will be reviewed by the AIPS Executive Committee. You will be notified of the status of your application once a decision has been reached.

If you are awarded a travel grant, you will have to complete an online questionaire about your travel before funds are dispersed.
