Second Biennial International Conference of Pakistan Studies

Pakistan in World-Historical Context

From April 29 to May 1 the American Institute of Pakistan Studies (AIPS) will host the Second Biennial International Conference of Pakistan Studies at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. 

The focus of this conference, which is open to the general public, will be the relationship of Pakistan to larger historical processes not only in the neighboring regions of South and Central Asia, but in Asia and the Indian Ocean, and in a globalizing world.  It will offer panel discussions and individual research papers from current research in a variety of fields relating to territory and peoples of Pakistan, both now and in the past.
